About HAR

Journal information

Aims and scope. HAR is a peer-reviewed electronic journal (HU ISSN 2732-2610) published in two issues per year. The journal covers the philology and the archaeology of the Ancient Near East, publishing research articles, brief notes, and field reports.

Open Access policy and copyright statement. Papers in HAR are published under the Platinum Open Access model, which means permanent and free access in downloadable format (pdf) for readers and no publication fees for authors. Regarding the authors’ copyrights, every published article is distributed under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.

Archiving, repository policy and indexing. The published papers of the HAR are archived by the Editorial Team in the ELTE EDIT, the Digital Institutional Repository of the University of Eötvös Loránd, Budapest. The submitted, accepted and published versions of the papers are allowed to be deposited by the authors in an institutional or other repository of the author’s choice without embargo (nevertheless, we strongly suggest depositing the published version only).
