The Peer-review policy of the Hungarian Assyriological Review

All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-reviewing process. In the first stage, the editors and, if necessary, the editorial board evaluate the submitted manuscript and may reject it or require minor or significant improvements. If the editors approve the (re-)submission, at the second stage, the manuscript will be sent for external double blind peer-review by one or two scholars who are not affiliated with any of the institutes of the author and the editors. The final decision will be made by the editors, based on the recommendation of the reviewer(s). The responsibilities of the editors and reviewers are outlined in our Publication Ethics.
