Abstract

The following study outlines the development of research on the so-called Indo-Aryans in the Ancient Near East. Building on the scholarship of Mayrhofer, it presents a critical synthesis of recent research on the topic and a brief summary of the relevant bibliography. It aims to update the history of research since 2006 as well as incorporating literature Mayrhofer overlooked.
